To maintain its health and avoid problems of frizz, dryness, split ends etc., we have to take basic care of our hair:
Before swimming or sunbathing, we can use a good protector with specific sunscreen for hair. Avoid exposure during the times of greatest radiation from the sun and even cover your head with a hat. These are especially recommendable precautions for dyed hair.
After swimming, it is not a good idea to brush wet hair. It is best to use a wooden or synthetic wide-tooth comb and pass it carefully through the hair without jerking.
After the beach or pool session, you need to rinse your hair well with cold or lukewarm water. If you wash your hair every day, use a flower honey shampoo for frequent use. You can apply a restorative mask twice a week. And it is preferable not to use the hairdryer, but if you need it, it is better to use cold air.
You can also use home remedies: daily brushing dry hair with a Deslía brush, rinsing with cold water after each wash, applying a little olive oil to the tips if they are very dry. Oh, and after the summer, you should give the ends a good trim.
As for the hairstyle, if you have long hair, summery styles will suit you well: buns, ponytails, braids that are fastened with fun hair bands of all kinds of colours and designs.
And do not forget to maintain a good, rich and varied diet. Enjoy the summer swims, but protect your hair from the sun’s harmful rays.
